My Google Authenticator code isn’t working
If you’re experiencing issues with the Google Authenticator code, the issue might be because the Google Authenticator app is not synced correctly.
To sync the time on an Android device, please follow the steps below:
- Go to the main menu on the Google Authenticator app
- Click Settings
- Click Time correction for codes
- Click Sync now
To sync the time on an Apple device, please follow the steps below:
- Go to the iPhone Settings area
- Select General
- Select Date & Time
- Enable Set Automatically
- If it is already enabled, disable it, wait a few seconds and reenable
The app should then confirm that the time has been synced, and you should now be able to use your verification codes to sign in. Please refresh the MFA QR code page and enter the new authentication code.
Please note: The sync will only affect the internal time of your Google Authenticator app on your Android phone, and will not change your device's Time and Date settings.
If you continue to experience issues, please contact GF-SOM-BrandApps-Support@shell.com.
